Founded CDC Mess- und Regeltechnik GmbH in 1974.

He transformed the company gradually into a successful maritime service provider and marine engineering office and led the company as managing partner until it was sold to the Finnish group Wärtsilä in the year 2008. The mission spectrum of CDC Mess- und Regeltechnik GmbH included: Planning, production and delivery of completely integrated ship operating systems, including project engineering.

Founder and Principal of Maringer Consulting Alberta, Canmore/Canada

  • 1961 entry level technical education at Siemens & Halske in Hamburg/Germany
  • 1969 graduated electrical engineering studies with distinction career in R&D in industrial measurement & control, check out systems e.g. automotive check out systems, multiple patents and patent applications, with various senior management positions in R&D in Germany and USA (New jersey and California)
  • 1981 R&D projects at Fujitsu R&D labs and studies in macro economics in Tokyo/Japan
  • 1987 graduated in Business Administration as Dipl.-Oec.
  • 1990 CEO Siemens Automotive Canada
  • 1993 completed post graduate studies with Dr.rer.pol. (PhD in economic and social sciences)
  • 1995 General Manager of global Siemens Technical Service businesses (facilitating large scale Siemens industrial projects and services in 162 countries)
  • 2000 President & CEO of Siemens Canada (the entire Siemens portfolio in all of Canada)
  • 2004 appointed Professor International Management, University of Jena (lecturer since 1993)
  • 2006: McMaster University/ Hamilton/Canada: honoured with John W. Hodgins Memorial Award for distinguished engineer
  • 2006 after 47 years of international career retired from Siemens
  • 2007 Founder of Maringer Consulting Alberta specialized in technology consulting renewable energies, storage and applications
  • 2014 awarded with Bundesverdienstkreuz am Bande (order of merit of Germany)
  • since 1990 numerous Board and Advisory appointments in public enterprises, academia and not-for-profit organizations.

Hans-Helmut Schramm

Entrepreneur in the third generation, is owner and director of the SCHRAMM group GmbH.
